of Tommy & Olivia
How We Met
Tommy was telling a story at a work happy hour and the phrase “her and I” came out of his mouth. While everyone else laughed at his punchline, Olivia corrected him, “she and I.” And that was the first in-person interaction of these two co-workers who had so far only met over Zoom.
Some say Olivia’s outburst was flirtatious, others say she just couldn’t hold it in, but Tommy found the challenge interesting and the two sparked a conversation that really hasn’t ended since. They sent nonstop texts for days straight as Tommy attended his sister’s birthday party out of state and when he returned they made plans to meet for a drink.
As their relationship started at a work event, and both were playing it cool, it wasn’t until about an hour into this first meet up that Tommy asked, “This is a date, right? We’re not networking?” Olivia smiled and nodded, confirming it was a date, and that was in fact the last “first date” either will ever have to go on again.
The Proposal
Tommy won Greek America’s 40 under 40 award in 2025 and took Olivia as his date to the event in Queens, New York. He lied about the location and the time. On the way to the ceremony Tommy acted like he was getting lost, which isn’t abnormal. Olivia never checked the time, which isn’t abnormal. Then, suddenly on the boardwalk with the Manhattan skyline in the background, he got on one knee and asked Olivia to spend the rest of her life with him.
The Ceremony
August 23, 2025, Tommy and Olivia got married in an extremely private ceremony in the Greek Church. What can we say, we were too in love and excited we just couldn’t wait.
Now, in front of all of you, we plan to commit ourselves to one another with you as our witnesses, and officially celebrate our love with our community. And that’s really what a wedding is all about!
Mikhala and Sophia will walk through the spiritual process of two souls becoming one.
The Stefana placed on our heads and attached with a ribbon symbolizes the union of our personhood. We are committed to no longer viewing the world as Olivia and Tommy but as “Olivia&Tommy.”
